Dish Alignment Quick Start:

1. Assemble your dish.

2. Install your LNBF on your dish and tilt the LNBF to compensate for polarization skew.  For example:  

   • In Columbus, OH: LNBF should be turned 16 degrees counter clockwise

   • Los Angeles:  30 degrees clockwise

   • New York:  30 degrees counter-clockwise

3. Mount your dish on its mast.  Make sure mast is 100% vertical and solid.

4. Calculate your Azimuth and Elevation here!

5. Turn your dish towards the correct Azimuth and hand tighten screws.

6. Adjust dish Elevation to correct value and hand tighten screws.

7. Connect your receiver to the LNBF using RG6 coaxial cable.  Make sure the receiver is "OFF" when you do that.

8. Turn your receiver "ON"

Channel Programming:

When you finish installing your dish you can follow these steps:

1. On the remote control press the menu button (the menu screen will be displayed).

2. From the menu screen highlight INSTALLATION and press OK, (the installation screen will be displayed.

3. From the installation screen highlight TP CONFIGURATION and press OK.

4. Highlight SATELLITE and press OK Button and scroll through the satellites to select Telstar 5. Press OK

5. Press the volume up or volume down button this will take you to the freq. Lines.

6. Now scroll down (using the channel down button) and highlight the freq. 11898 line and press OK.

7. The frequency signal meter screen will be displayed. Now start adjusting your dish to get the best signal (you must get the signal on the second Q signal bar too). 

8. Once you get the best signal possible, hit menu and click on a different transponder frequency to check the signal strength also.  

9. Make sure that most transponders have strong signal and quality bars. 

10. Once you get the best signal possible, select Search channels and press OK. 

11. If the freq. you're looking for is not on the list, press the volume down arrow to go to Add then press OK. Using the remote control enter frequency, symbol rate, and polarity, then go to search channels and press OK.  Once the search is finished,  press menu to go back to the previous menu.

12. To view the channels list press menu, select TV CHANNELS, press OK, a list of all channels will be displayed, highlight the channel you want to watch, press OK to view it.

Channel Name Editing:

Please note that you can edit channels names. To do so, follow the steps below:

1. Press the menu button, select installation, press ok, select EDIT TV LIST, press OK.

2. Now highlight the channel you want to edit its name, press INFO, press OK, a small screen will be displayed that have all the letters. To view numbers Press the INFO button.

3. Using the volume and the channel up & down buttons highlight the letter you want to select, press OK, continue until you get all the letters you want. Once finished press MENU, press MENU again. The new name for the channel will be displayed on the TV LIST.
