These instructions are for our Polish customers on how to setup their new Fortec Star receiver to receive Radio Maryja and TV TRWAM.

Instructions valid for FORTEC STAR Digital FTA Satellite Receiver

For models 786v3, 786NA

If you have the Fortec Star LifeTime ULTRA receiver, then the instructions are located here.

Dish Alignment Quick Start:

1. Assemble your dish.

2. Mount your dish on its mast.  Make sure mast is 100% vertical and solid.

3. Calculate your Azimuth and Elevation here!  Make sure you compensate for magnetic deviation.

4. Install your LNBF on your dish and tilt the LNBF to compensate for polarization skew.  For example:  

   • In Columbus, OH: LNBF should be turned 16 degrees counter clockwise

   • Los Angeles:  30 degrees clockwise

   • New York:  30 degrees counter-clockwise

5. Turn your dish towards the correct Azimuth and hand tighten screws.

6. Adjust dish Elevation to correct value and hand tighten screws.

7. Connect your receiver to the LNBF using RG6 coaxial cable.  Make sure the receiver is "OFF" when you do that.

8. Turn your receiver "ON"

 

Receiver Quick Start:

 

 

1. Press "Menu" on the remote control.

2. Press right vol arrow button on the remote to go to "Installation"

3. Click "OK" on the remote.

4. If you have received the Fortec Star UNIVERSAL LNBF with your system (this is the default LNBF you get with your system), then skip step 5 and go to step 6.

5. Select "Antenna Setting"

   • Antenna:        1

   • LNB Type:     UNIVERSAL  (For Fortec Star LNBF - Low: 9750, High: 10600)

     Note:  If you are using a "STANDARD" LNBF (11.7-12.2 GHz), then select:

     • LNB Type:     SINGLE  

     • Click "OK"

     • Single: 10750 (enter this value using remote control)

     • Press down arrow to "STORE"

     • Click "OK"

      

   • LNB Power:   V/H

   • 22Khz:         Auto 

   • DiSEqC:        Off

   • 12V:            Off

   • Press down arrow to "STORE"

   • Click "OK"

6. Press down arrow to "Channel Search"   

7. Click "OK" on the remote.  The screen will show the following:

   • Search Index:  1

   • Antenna:         1

   • Satellite:  Click "OK" on the remote and select "AMC4 (101W)" by using the channel up/down buttons on the remote.

   • Search Mode:  Auto All

   • Click "OK" on TP Data

   • Use the Channel Down button on remote to go to Frequency and enter: 12120

   • Scroll down to POLARITY and switch to: Vertical

   • Scroll down to S/R and enter: 30000

   • Scroll down to store and Click "OK"

   • Positioner:      OFF  (This is only used when you have an HH Motor installed on your dish)

8. Now adjust your dish alignment until you see the "Signal" and "Quality" bars turn GREEN in color.  Note: If you only see the signal bar in RED and no quality, that means your dish is receiving a signal, but it is not from the correct satellite.  It will always show this signal no matter where you aim your dish.  Only when you have a perfect alignment to desired satellite is when you will see both the Signal and Quality turn GREEN as shown in the picture to the below.

1. Scroll down to "START"

2. Click "OK" to search channels. 

3. It will take a few minutes for the receiver to search the satellite and save the channels.  When it completes the search, click on the "TV/Radio" button on the remote to switch to the Radio channels.

4. Change channels up/down on the remote until you locate Radio Maryja.

5. If you want to go back to the TV channels to to watch TV TRWAM, then click on the "TV/Radio" button on the remote to switch to the TV channels.

6. Change channels up/down on the remote until you locate TV TRWAM.

Congratulations, you just loaded your receiver!
